Turkish lighting is an old tradition that has been produced in Turkish soil for centuries. All Turkish countries (Ottoman Empire, Mamluks, Sassanids and others) that ruled in the Middle East and Anatolia, especially the Seljuk Empire, decorated the streets with blown glass street lanterns as a tradition of urbanism in street lighting.

The melted glass pulp is taken from the pool with the help of a pipe and blown into the metal cage that will become a lamp, with the help of the pipe and the skills of the glass master, the shape of the cage is provided. This tradition did not disappear until the 1990s, with different designs getting richer in different lamp types.

Since the 1990s, the art of decorating the walls of mosques by drawing colorful mosaic patterns on tiles, which is an old Turkish handicraft, combined with Turkish lamps. Now a new type of Turkish lamp has emerged, Mosaic Lamp.

Blown Glass Lamp and Mosaic Lamp, How are the production stages of these two traditional handmade Turkish lamp types done?

Metal Works, Spinning

Metals are shaped by hand, on a metal called stamp, by a method called plastering on a mold. Every metal part on the lamp is shaped by this method. They are then specially polished to protect them from oxidation.

Finally, the whole metal is painted with special metal coatings in different colors such as antique bronze, antique nickel or gold color according to the design of the lamp. After all these processes are finished, polishing varnish is applied on the entire metal so that the metal always maintains its shine.

Glass Works, Mosaic Desing, Blown Glass

Mosaic lamps are a type of lamp produced by arranging and pasting carefully designed traditional Turkish motifs on blown glass spheres as colored pieces.

After determining the design of each motif and the colors to be used in the design, the glass artist applies this design to the glass sphere. These glass pieces, cooked with organic glass paint, never lose their color and continue to offer a clear color like the first day.

The light of the bulb inside the lamp and the mosaic glass patterns in different colors reflect into your room like a mirror, adding an authentic ambiance to your home, hotel or restaurant.

Cable, Plug and Socket Works

As Turkish Lightings, quality is our first philosophy. No electrical equipment is used in our lamps that has not received a quality certificate in Europe and the United States. We use cables according to the electrical standard of the customer's country, and install sockets and bulb sockets according to the standards of the customer's country.

All of our electrical apparatus have TÜV, CE, UL, VDE and TSE quality certificates. The cables in our lamps are very thick, such as 0.75 mm, and have an extra protective coating on the outside.

From which country our customers order, we prepare the lamp according to the electrical standard of the ordered country.

For example; If we have a customer who orders from the USA or Canada, we attach a 110 V American double-blade socket to his lamp and plug one of the E27 or E12 bulb sockets used in the United States to the lamp. We never attach a low quality cable that cannot handle the electrical load to your lamp, we do not have to use a socket converter, we send your lamp to you with the original socket compatible with your country.

Or if we have customers ordering from Europe, we attach the electrical installation supporting 220 V to the lamp. For the UK, we plug the special British plug with fuse protection into the lamp.

We prepare your lamp with high quality and ensure that you use your lamp safely and smoothly for many years.
