Every so often, it happens to feel the need to modernize your apartment, and this is because the house is like our second favorite dress, so it must always be able to communicate who we’re and how we feel at that precise moment.

When this desire for change emerges, we’re often led to think that spending a lot of money and perhaps completely revolutionizing the house is necessary. It isn't so because it’s enough to mount a suspension lamp to give a completely different tone to our home environments.

It’s best to call an electrician when it comes to living wiring. If you want to assemble the chandelier, it’s essential to follow specific instructions and, above all, to take safety precautions to avoid electric shocks.

Tips for Hanging a Chandelier Properly

In this guide, you will learn how to hang a chandelier easily. Whether you’re experienced in interior decoration, maintenance work, or lamp installation, this guide is relatively easy to understand. Those who haven’t done such a job before can easily hang a chandelier!

Step 1: Disconnect the Running Power

This is extremely important for your safety, and you should be sure to disconnect any live current flowing through the circuits. If you already have an open connection or outlet where you will install the new chandelier, make sure that active electricity is now flowing to the link.

Step 2: Check for Electricity in the Cables

Once the electricity is cut, check if your connection has an active circuit running through it. You can test it with a specialized tool with a plastic handle or maybe use a screwdriver.

Step 3: Install the Connection Key

Each new lamp will have a connection key, as shown below. Each key has four holes, two for the cables that pass from the ceiling and another two that will be connected to the chandelier.

Step 4: Connect the Wiring

Now you will connect the two wires on the chandelier to the connection key, inserting the open copper wires in each hole. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws, insert the copper wiring, then tighten the screws again. Brown goes to the right socket, and blue goes to the left socket.

Step 5: Start with A Cable

First, cut a wire to make sure the copper insoles are exposed. Insert it into a hole and tighten the screw.

Step 6: Repeat the Process

Do the same on the second strand, and it doesn't matter if you start with blue or brown. Just make sure that enough copper wiring has been inserted into each hole.

Step 7: Place the Chandelier On A Safety Look

You will need to install a safety hook in the ceiling before hanging the chandelier for added safety. This is a safety hook that will support most of the chandelier's weight. This also helps prevent the chandelier from simply hanging from cables or pulling on it.

Step 8: Connect the Ceiling Wiring

As with the chandelier wiring, you will need to install the wiring in the connection key, repeating the same procedure as steps 5 and 6.

Step 9: Hang and Place the Cover

Hang the chandelier on the safety hook and cover it with the added chandelier cover, which will close the safety hook and wiring.

Step 10: Test the Weight of the Chandelier

Test the safety hook by letting the chandelier hang freely.

Step 11: Add the Lampshade

Once the lamp is properly screwed in, you can secure the lampshade in place. Ensure it’s secure and adequately secured in place.
